The WTF announced that each country will be able to enter a maximum of 3 male and 3 female players. The YOG player qualifications will be held in conjunction with the 2010 World Taekwondo Junior Championships being held in Tijuana, Mexico during February or March 2010.
The top 6 players in each weight division for male and female will qualify through the YOG qualification tournament, while the host country will have 3 male and 3 female players. The top 4 players from the YOG qualification will qualify and those players placed between 5th to 8th will play off for the next 2 places.
Each division will be 10 players with the remainder players to be allotted from the NOC universality places for countries based on the following criteria:
1. must be a member national association of the WTF
2. have participated in at least one of the last two World Junior Championships
3. did not qualify a player from the YOG qualification tournament
4. have participated in continental junior championships
5. and countries that were prevented or unable to participate in the YOG qualification tournament.
Players must hold kukkiwon junior black belt qualifications and born between 1 January 1993 and 31 December 1994- ie will be 16 and 17 years old by the end of December 2010. The weight divisions are:
Male:
Under 48 kgs
48 to 55 kgs
55 to 63 kgs
63 to 73 kgs
over 73 kgs
Female:
under 44 kgs
44 to 49 kgs
49 to 55 kgs
55 to 63 kgs
over 63 kgs

The event will be held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), located in the heart of Singapore's business district, is also conveniently located near the IOC Family Hotels, which are just a 10-minute walk away.
History
One of the largest multi-purpose convention and exhibition facilities in the centre of the city, the ICC has hosted some of the world’s biggest meetings, exhibitions and conventions – the highlights of which were the International Monetary Fund (IMF) World Bank Congress in 2006.
Comprising approximately 25,000 square metre of space, the convention and exhibition halls at the ICC will be converted to an excellent venue for the wrestling, judo, boxing, taekwondo, fencing, and handball competitions.
How to get there
A 10-minute walk from City Hall MRT station, the International Convention Centre is also conveniently accessible by public buses.
